I recently read up on the sadist of the century, Edgar Allen Poe. I do empathise him. I could visualize the list of questions he had in his head when he wrote those stories and prose. I remember most of his quotes in the stories to be very negative or sadistic, yet meaningful. Here's one that sounds a little more pleasant:
"I was never really insane except upon occasions when my heart was touched." :)
