Cruel Romance
Introduced to this drama by my 2nd sis. I didn't have expectations for it at first. Just wanted to kill time and be entertained as she said there were funny scenes. But now, I'm so addicted by this kind of love that the characters potray!
The male lead is one of the reputable Gang leaders in Shanghai, who put work and his country before himself, with 0 interest in woman. And the female lead, a well-to-do girl from the countryside who was force to leave for Shanghai after the murder of her parents, by a group of japanese secret society.
So they meet by fate, and not knowing who is he, the female lead does not show any fear towards him nor desperation to gain his attention (as most of the woman in Shanghai dreams of). Fate brings them together on so many occasions, that the differences they have transcends into understanding and friendship.
And the male lead, for a first in his life, shows concern, showers protection and treats a woman ever so warm and kindly. Yet the female lead, is only focused on surviving from all the cold hearted meanines in Shanghai, as well as to seek revenge for her family. And so all that revolves around their love, is patience, nurturing and more understanding.
