those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind

(30/01) Started my saturday with an impromptu meet up with budd, wei qi ^ᴗ^ She came over to my house and we discussed loads! From our Aussy plans to how painful it must be during child labour (sth we will only experience prob 6, 7 yrs down the road) (>ᴗ<) Budd was also glued to baby jairus as he slept on the couch (>▲<) My mom, on the other hand, kept bugging budd about introducing me some of her guy friends -_-" Thanks for worrying mom~

After a few fruitless hours of planning (cause we managed to only scrap through some of the MANY details which we needed to work on), I had to head out to meet my cousins. Still, budd and I made use of every single minute I had left and we had our go on the Meteorite & Ghost train @ Uncle Ringo's Carnival, Tampines Central -ᴥ- It was the best carnival experience I had~ (cause I've yet to been to others) Budd and I bid farewell, and we realised that the next time we're meeting, would be sending her off for her Australia exchange T-T

I made my way towards Ten Dollar ktv @ Downtown East to meet my cousins: nicholas- shawn- dickson, nic&shawn's mom and my aunt gina. Again, loads of fun & craziness with them, though their mom left halfway with my uncle picking her up -ᴗ- I really cherish these gatherings with them, cause we used to be so closed as playmates but grew apart due to schooling. After our ktv session ended at 10, we hesitated between supper and lan, which ended up with shawn suggesting for a round of mahjong at my place (gosh, Im gnna get eyebags the next day again~) Dickson needed to rush his project from his new term at school, hence he headed home :(

Aunt gina, nicholas and shawn headed over to my place, after buying some macdonalds ¬ᴗ¬ Granny was so happy to see the boys, as usual. And after the hustling and bustling within my family members and them (jared was especially hyper), shawn and aunt gina sat down for some mahjong with me and my mom ˘ᴗ˘ (Dayum, it's gnna be nvr ending ˘o˘) Nicholas spent his time chatting with granny, and snacking LOTs on our chinese new year goodies :P /all that pounds piling up/ >>>>>Fast Forward to after our game finally ended at 3am: mom and I sent everyone home, but not before some supper at a prata shop around the neighbourhood @ᴗ@ /more weight gains/ I guess the boys reached home feeling real sleepy~ So was I

we know it exists, somewhere

(26/01) We were given the opportunity to celebrate xin yun's birthday on the actual day, today :) Met up with xin yun and che wen at bugis after work, where xin yun said her goodbyes to aishah, amelia, qiu xian, meiling and shermaine (ex classmates of mine in poly and they moved up to uni tgt with xy) So xin yun, che wen and I decided to shop around for CNY clothes around bugis junction before heading down to Crystal Jade, Xiao Long Bao La Mian.

Xin yun shared with us lots of recent happenings in school, which made me wnna go back to studying :'( #youth We also passed her the presents oٮo After dinner, we headed to bugis street and got some cheap watches, before continuing to shop :P Anyway, best wishes for her and her future endeavours, but more importantly, hope that she meets the right "one" soon~ Rooting for her, and myself too

travel close to the speed of light before they collide

(23/01) Back to a more normal post. So today, I met with the clique for some exhibition outing :) Met up with budd (weiqi) first and we made our way to suntec to join yinghui and seraph. Had Alt Pizza for lunch, which budd felt the sides overshadowed the pizza. I especially love the bread with cheesy artichoke dip (sides) and the pizza was not bad cause I love how cheesy it was ᵕᴥᵕ We then walked to the ArtScience Museum @ Marina Bay Sands, which was an unbearable walk under the hot sun :S Anyway, we opted for the Collider Exhibition, which was interesting ¬ᴗ¬ \mindblown\

Seraph had to leave ard 5:30 so the three of us decided to stay around suntec for dinner. We tried our luck with a walk in @ Teo Heng, which got us a karaoke session that only lasted for 10 mins? ᵕٮᵕ So we headed to NamNam for dinner, vietnamese style. Simply delicious! Can't describe more in words -ᴗ- Afterwhich we hovered around Teo Heng and tried for a slot again, to no avail :( We then windowed shopped for Chinese New Year clothes, walking to and fro Tower 4 to 5. Suntec is freaking huge (-_-) We ended out night at Cocoa Colony with some sinfully chocolaty sobert/ice cream ^ᴗ^ and some heartening talks -ᴥ- At the end of the day, I could feel the muscles in my legs tearing apart :{ Still, a great day spent with them ladies (>▲<)

the dark brown "weasel"

"The sea otter, when it is swimming, looks like a seal, but is really very different. It has a shorter nose than a seal, small webbed feet instead of flippers, and fur that is thicker and much more beautiful. It is also different in other ways. The otter likes to lie on its back in the kelp beds, floating up and down to the motion of the waves, sunning itself or sleeping. They are the most playful animals in the sea."

An excerpt of the book I'm currently starting on - Island of the Blue Dolphins

And further reading on my part: Since the mid 1970s, sea otters have become popular with wildlife viewers, researchers, and resource managers—so much so that they are now a political symbol for environmental awareness, a key for non-profit advocacy, and anthropomorphized (personified) by the American culture. Cute, cuddly, and popular, however, does not hide the fact that the otter story in the United States is mired with declining populations and eventual threatened species status under the Endangered Species Act of 1973. •~•

Otters are notorious wanderers in their chosen habitat and an animal may range over several kilometers of a waterway. For this reason they are never abundant in any locality. They are ordinarily shy, unobtrusive creatures that are seldom seen even though they are active throughout the year. The slides and apparent playfulness of otters are well-known. The otters play "follow the leader" in tobogganing, with front legs folded back, from the top of the slide into the water below.

they all, eventually fall into place

(12/01) Met my long time no see buddies, alvin and leck qi for a short lunch at vivo city :D We decided on eating monster curry, where alvin actually wanted to try the 3rd level of spiciness for our curry (thank goodness he didnt ᵕoᵕ) So we ordered 2 sets to share, one of level 0 and the other level 1 spiciness :} We updated each other on our current lives and am so thankful for their encouragements and advice for me to pursue a different path in life ᵕٮᵕ We also shared our plans (on the later future) about marriages or travelling and stuffs. After lunch, the both of them can only send me back to work whilst they make their way home (so grateful they came all the way to celebrate for me ᵕٮᵕ)

(13/01) Today, I met up with bnn budd, wei qi to go on my first ice skating experience (>ᴗ<) We had itacho @ tampines mall before heading to kallang leisure park. WHOOTS, the skating rink was chiiiiilly~ And my first time on the ice was so unforgettable! Fell a few times, and struggling most of the time to keep up with budd... But I'm proud that I didn't rely much on the barriers -ᴥ- And after my falls, blisters on my feet and practicing for an hour plus, I can finally maneuver around the rink and skate in terms of laps!

But basically, it is just to throw away one's fears of falling and the embarrassment of it; just keep calm and relax, only then your body will flow with the ice ᵕٮᵕ LOL. On the whole, ice skating was an exhilarating experience cause you get cold sweat instead and your breath starts to get chilly after a while (>▲<) I felt reluctant to leave the place, cause of the people's faces whom I remembered cause of all the 2 hours of skating alongside them, the white spaciousness of the rink which gives you space to just forget your troubles, and because you keep challenging yourself to each new round :)

Afterwhich, budd and I headed over to kallang wave mall for some coffee bean's all-day breakfast YUM! I think we sat there for close to 2 hours, just reminiscing about school life and analysing each event that passed in our lives. We then walked out the mall to the riverside, to just bask in the beauty of the cbd lights in the horizon ᵕᴥᵕ We then ended our night with some Chocolate Origin's choch lava cake with ice cream ᵕᴥᵕ Left the place, grinning from eye to eye and we continued our talks back home in the mrt & bus. Really appreciative of budd's day spent celebrating my birthday, and her gifts and card ^ᴗ^

we may not be perfect, but we're just right

(09/01) hehehe, so my sis decided that we should hold a bbq celebration for jairus and my birthday on this day :) My brother handled the food throughout the night, and I only took over after 9 (the bbq pit is only for use up til 10). Guess he's being nice cause it's my birthday -ᴥ- So for the first half of the bbq, it was just us with granny and aunt gina, but we enjoyed just as much munching away together and sharing stories. For the second half of the bbq, my brother headed out while I continued bbq-ing, followed by shawn, nicholas & their parents (my uncle and aunt) arriving with aunt ashley. So the liveliness continued til droplets started to fall from the sky. We packed and headed up home.

For our second round, they celebrated for me and jairus our birthdays with a cake cutting session, whereby jairus was looking lost and confused half of the time (>ᴗ<) Behind my aunts who were taking the photos, the scene was hilarious! The whole big group of adults were waving their hands in the air with big actions to draw jairus' attention ^ᴗ^ After enjoying our cake, we had a series of small chats, followed by my mum serving her /pig trotters in vinegar/ dish (super late at night!) Some of us crowded around jared to engage in the game that he was playing, so fun that most of the adults wanted to join in (>▲<) Last but not least, I decided to end the night with a late night film, suitable for the whole family, 我的少女時代, and it proved right (throughout the film my granny kept going on with her comments and questions, my aunts and uncle were totally engrossed too!)

Really appreciative of the larger family from my mom's side cause everyone's all so nice ᵕٮᵕ

GARY FT GAEKO - LONELY NIGHT

I thought I heard you call my name

(06/01) Met up with them girlies today for just a "simple" dinner: che wen and xin yun. Met up at somerset 313 for some masizzim, where we tried rolling our own tuna rice balls. YUM! And we exchanged our christmas presents! ^ᴗ^ Love che wen's cat themed presents for me. Afterwhich we went shopping~ Spent most of out time at F21 and H&M. When we got bored, we walked over to Ngee Ann City, Takashimaya.

So we started from Kinokuniya, searching for "che wen's secret garden colouring book" which she decided not to get. Next, we went innisfree to buy "xin yun's diffuser". And we finally found a spot in the food court where we could rest. And it was there that they bought a strawberry shortcake to surprise me! (>ᴗ<) And passed me my presents: a grow-yourself-pansy-kit and the diffuser from innisfree! Was super surprised cause I love my cake and the plant kit -ᴥ-

And my night ended with my family and I visiting my granny who had just gone under the knife for her eye surgery. We stayed til 12 midnight

(Chose this song cause I'm just slacking around on a sat -ᴗ-) HAMMOCK - I CAN ALMOST SEE YOU
