My family & I celebrated mine and jairus' birthday @Itacho, Bedok.








13 JAN Celebrated my actual birthday with weiqi cause she booked it a month before ^ᴗ^ We met up after work at Katong and headed to where we had vegan ice cream just weeks ago, Brownice. Surprisingly, vegan food is to our liking, of course with credits to their chef •ᴗ• We caught up where we left off previously, on weiqi's work environment. And she had to spent quite some time to explain their line of authority in a bank •_• *too many managerial positions*

And weiqi also mentioned about all the back-end jobs her department does, while some other dept slacks off -_- (Coincidentally, my sis was just advising me on this topic today. About how the local uni grads usually secures managerial positions upon graduation with substantial bonuses whereas us private uni or poly grads are constrained to manual jobs aka "blue-collared" jobs. I really dislike this prejudiced caste system ᵕ_ᵕ

Anyways, we had their vegan ice cream for dessert once more and had a dilemma deciding what to do next. Headed to Katong 112, only to realise the number of shops closed. This pretty much led us down to only one choice, karaoke (>o<) It was a hell of a time, think it has been a long time since we were so high! It really helped in destressing •ᴗ•

We recorded a snippet of us singing I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith, sent the clip to xinlin, and continued conquering lots of old-school chinese and english rock songs throughout the night (>▲<) Including JJ Lin, Jay Chou, Mayday, Teresa Teng, 30 seconds to mars and Linkin Park! LOL














14 JAN Had an impromptu meet up with my aunt and shawn (cousin). We for a karaoke session @Ten Dollar KTV, Downtown East. As usual, aunt gina and shawn love songs from the recent China Singing Competitions, which I hardly know of. Other than that, I sang along for all the other oldies and pop english songs, which are quite the handful as well. And as usual, shawn would be busy distracting us for a few of the songs, cause he just can't stand a properly sung one? haha.

Afterwhich, we headed back Tampines together and shawn had to go meet up with his project group at 10pm?! *the amount of stress* aunt gina and I bought macdonalds and we sat around Tampines hub, eating while we chat. She also gave me some advice about the working world and warned me about all the politics to come, obviously stuff that I'm not experiencing currently cause I'm kind of in my comfort zone at work •_• dang! I need to experience more stuff to truly be more of an adult~


16 JAN Finally met up with leckqi and alvin, after one whole year T_T We had dinner @Canton Paradise, Bedok, and we chatted lots upon meet up aka speedy catch up on one whole year's worth of our lives! The both of them already had thoughts about their future with their respective other half~ ᵕᴗᵕ And I updated them on my nephews, my first lesson of driving and thoughts on further studies.

Afterwhich, we had llao llao for dessert and we found a spot to continue yakking as we eat. Had a few moments where we reminisced about our secondary school days and we found ourselves giggling like mad, like we used to back when we were teenagers. Was really touched that as we speak, we still remembered each other's families and alvin even made a cheeky comment to leckqi "we watched your siblings and you grew up too!" when she was on the topic of her auntie (helper), who's been with them like forever.
